The Lead the Vote Non-Profit Election Engagement Consortium is engaging Mankato area non-profits in civic and voter engagement.
Over the last year, Lead the Vote has engaged nonprofits and community members in civic discussions. Here are some of the things we have accomplished:
Presented to the Blue Earth County Homelessness Response Taskforce
Hosted civic engagement workshops for nonprofit employees to ask questions, collaborate, and inspire
Hosted a community conversation with nonprofit leaders as presenters and local legislators as audience members
Printed and distributed materials encouraging voting to people who use nonprofit services including Blue Earth County Library, ECHO Food Shelf, FOCP Backpack Food Program
Grown the coalition to include more nonprofits and leadership
